Dormant Tetraploid Mid, 7.5", 15 buds, x 38" H, 3 Way Branching.
FALL CREEK GORGE has a very dark burgundy purple self with a faint darker violet purple eye and clear chartreuse throat. The color looks as good at 8 PM as it does at 8 AM.
The flower has an open form which is held well above the foliage on 38 inch scapes. Garden visitors have been impressed with how well the dark color holds on very hot days.
Fall Creek Gorge is one of Ithaca, NY's prettiest gorges. Even though it is off the beaten path, I hope to visit the area one day.
