DAPPLED DRAGON isn't my usual daylily, but how many spotted daylilies have Tet. Starman's Quest and Tet. Emerald Starburst in the background. DAPPLED DRAGON seems to be a yellow base with orange/red speckles and closer speckles at the eye. Both the petals and sepals have a lighter edge. The daylily is tall and nicely branched so plant habit could be useful for people breeding for stippled daylilies. Emerald Starburst lends the green throats, dormancy and tall scape. If you like daylilies that are different, this daylily is for you.
Makes a standout clump!
