BERT KNOWS BEST is a color that is pretty hard to define, but it definitely is different. The flower is lavender grey that sometimes looks almost silver. The throat is green with blends to yellow the day passes. BERT KNOWS BEST always has a bit of a crimped edge. The wingspan is usually over ten inches. The pollen has been good, but I usually pick a bud the night before to be safe. This cross produced several keepers that made it to the line out beds. BERT KNOWS BEST is named for my macaw that ran the house for thirty years. The flower stood up to crazy weather that we have had the past two years.
