If you are looking for a unique daylily to add to your garden, Hazy Shade of Winter is it. The color is an unusual brown shaded burgundy reverse bi-tone with burgundy sepals, eye and pencil edge on the petals. The bright green throat sets off the whole look. The petals sometime have speckles with some veining. The halo color extends down the midrib. The sepal roll back and the petals pinch. Hazy Shades of Winter has something for everyone. One summer the flower presented itself as almost round so I have included that picture too.
