SHORTER THAN NIKKI

SHORTER THAN NIKKI is a well branched extremely pod fertile "Tall" daylily. The color is a pale pink lavender with a small powder blue eye and green throat. Because SHORTER THAN NIKKI always has white pollen I have never tried to use it as a pollen parent but pod setting is easy. Since I normally select large daylilies, SHORTER THAN NIKKI, has to be a really eye catcher to make it out of the seedling field. As a select seeding it performed well and beat out the competition.
The rather strange name came about after Nikki Schmith was teased that one of the daylily that she was auctioning at the summer regional was taller than Nikki. This daylily is truly SHORTER THAN NIKKI and she had a good laugh from the name.
