In working for large daylilies with patterns, I've selected some smaller daylilies with great form, face and plant habit. SEASIDE SUNSET is one of those daylilies. The color is pinkish lavender with a bluish lavender eye and a clear green throat. The sepals blend into cream before the green throat. The Picotee edge is cream with a thin line the color of the eye. The Moldovan Queensbury Rules seedling that was the pollen parent had an interesting patterned face, but SEASIDE SUNSET got Queensbury Rules eye instead. Several pattern hybridizers really liked SEASIDE SUNSET and asked when it would be introduced.
